Jim Morrison

Writer, Editor, Photographer, Fine Arts Painting.

After five years in the Canadan Navy during World War 2, Morrison hired on with the Telegrah-Journal in Saint John. During 40 plus years in journalism, including six years as Managaing Editor of The Daily Gleaner in Fredericton, Morrison served with Canadian Press in Toronto, the Regina Leader Post, established The Bugle (a weekly) in Woodstock, taught at the Famous Writers’ School in Conneticutt, and worked as executive news editor for The Evening Times-Globe in Saint John. He was also the Executive Editor of The Atlantic (a monthly magazine no longer published).

After retiring from journalism, Morrison has had six books published (three for children). He took to writing poetry and was introduced to painting (watercolour, oils, sketches).

At age 87, Morrison still does a little writing and some painting.
