        Background and Training: B.A. In English Literature (U.N.B); B. Ed. (St. Thomas); retired teacher of English with 31 years experience.

 

Achievements:

Published many times by Richard Vallance in Canadian Zen Haiku and by the late Sondra Ball in the e-zine Autumn Leaves; Published in Bread’n’Molasses and Poemata; poetry read on CBC. Have read at several poetry festivals and events, some of these organized by the Canadian Poetry Association and the Writers Federation of New Brunswick. Poetry exhibited several times by Ariadne Sawyer’s World Poetry. Involved with WFNB”s Laubach Literacy project, with my story “An Afternoon of Aramaic” published in Breaking the Word Barrier; Stories of Adults Learning to Read (Gooselane, 2009).  Recently asked by Richard Vallance to be an associate editor of Canadian Zen Haiku.

Productions/Exhibitions/Publications: several e-books; three print books of poetry: Clean And Simple Stones; My World of Etherées; My Ink Exposed. Artist Statement: Literature has the power to shape thoughts and feelings, and therefore the power to change the world for the better.
