The Shakespeare Society of Saint John presents Shakespeare’s Legacy with keynote speaker Dr. Mary Elizabeth Smith. She has published books and articles on Renaissance and Canadian theatre, including "Too Soon the Curtain Fell: A History of Theatre in Saint John 1789-1900". A highlight of the three-day event will be a parade at 10 am Saturday morning (June 12) down King Street to Market Square, where the ladies in red hats and purple clothes will be welcomed by Mayor Ivan Court. NAGE SEUL / SWIM ALONE.  Tue-Sat, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM.  City of Saint John Gallery, 20 Hazen Avenue.  Exhibition of artworks by Rita Lamontagne of Mahone Bay, Nova Scotia.  Features the use of grids with squares of part images as one would look through a microscope at a slide of DNA.  The details in these squares then make up a larger image.  Nage Seul (swim alone) is a metaphor for life, as it is dangerous to swim alone.  Show continues thru June 19, 2010.  The City of Saint John Gallery is a program of the City’s Cultural Affairs Office.
